The new version of Internet Explorer is coming to Windows Mobile 6.5. It featured finger-friendly navigation and a better rendering engine. It is based on IE6.

The TouchScreen still isnt as nice to use as that of an iPhone running Safari , so this is , a good browser but not the best.

IE6 from desktop and mobile are competely different.
This is a separate version of IE6, IE6 Mobile. Totally different than the IE 6 you’d find on your desktop
Anyone knows (for sure) what flash player version is included in this browser?

What the hell do you expect from a phone? IE6 is a DESKTOP Platform, never meant to be for handsets, and now it is ported over. This is the most powerful browser EVER on a phone.

Big mistake of MS to install IE6 on windows phone. Everyone is moving away from IE6 now, and is currently sitting below 10% on my clients websites.
I’m not going to be fixing IE6 issues for the sake of windows mobile users.
They should be using webkit for both windows and windows phone.

What on-screen keyboard is being used in this video? Is it a custom application, or is it a HTC keyboard?
Actually this new version is based off the IE6 PC code :P (unlike previous versions which were completely separate from IE for PC)

Would installing wm 6.5 replace the current touch flo 3d interface of HTC devices such as my very own touch pro 2? i really like the current UI on my phone and I dont really see why the new look on the 6.5 would be any better in my own opinion.

This is an ignorant statement. IE6 has nothing to do with Internet Explorer MOBILE 6. Stop trying to sound “knowledgable” if you are ignorant of Windows Mobile. Same thing as idiots saying “Windows Mobile 7 is coming out in October!!!” Windows 7 is people.. not Windows MOBILE 7. Completely different beast.
I own a HTC touch which came with wm6.1. I flashed wm6.5 into it (latest beta).
They really improved windows mobile over previous versions, so you should update (if you have the means to).
If you are going to buy a new phone, at least try the HTC G2 (google android) or the iphone. You don’t want to get a big disappointment like I had.
