Windows Mobile 6.5 powers Windows® Phones

Microsoft is unveiling the next generation of Windows® phones, which will be based on Windows Mobile 6.5 and feature a new user interface and a richer browsing experience. In addition, Windows® phones will feature two new services: My Phone, to sync text messages, photos, video and contacts to the Web; and Windows Marketplace for Mobile, a new marketplace that will provide direct-to-phone mobile applications that can be controlled from both the phone and the Web.

Have fun browsing without a touch screen. The screen being half the size and resolution. Not to mention the terrible user interface, and total lack of interesting applications.
Soon I can ugrade my Vouge/Touch/VX6900 to this

I have an iPhone 3G and I think everything I’ve seen out there looks like a copy…some are better than others, but it’s still not an iPhone. I admit I’m a bit of an iPhone snob but that’s b/c I haven’t seen anything (yet) that even remotely compares to the iPhone.
Then again, being a snob doesn’t make you elitist either. Just because I love my iPhone but that doesn’t mean you have to.
Why are iphone users so smug? Winmo 6.5 works great and looks awesome. I just got the htc imagio, and its awesome. Don’t hate, appreciate.

We need phones with at least a little more RAM…maybe some video memory? At last these things have good support for 3rd party programs.
Battery life is good as always. However, the programs screen should have multiple panels, or at least that option. They also need to fix up the bugs and smooth it out a bit, then finally integrate the Zune software into it…finally.

I think Microsoft just should start with a completely new generation of operating systems.
Not just adding functions, I think that is what Windows Mobile slows down..

I’ll stick to HTC’s own TouchFlo 2D interface on my Mogul, looks better.
6.5 looks good, been waiting a long time.
I have been doing with WinMo 6.1 for years what other touch phones are just getting to now.
I do not think all 6.1 phones will be upgradeable to 6.5 however so it’s wait and C-

Only HTC are able to cure WM problems, which make their products good.
They should just abandon their mobile phone OS and just focus on making very good office suites for the other booming moblie OSes and it will give them more time to better Windows and Xbox.
windows mobile has been an epic fail so far.Windows 6.5 should have been windows mobile 5.Lets hope that 6.5 brings microsoft back into the compeitition with android,symbiab,mac os…The marketplace app should have been launched a long long long time ago.
